Used for woodblock or linocut printing in place of a printing press It is used to burnish the back of a sheet of paper to transfer the ink from the block and to sheet of paper. This 4" diameter teflon baren is ideal for hand-printing small jobs. It can be used with wood carving blocks and rubber stamps. The almost friction-less teflon rubbing surface glides easily over the back of the paper and allows the print-maker to freely vary the pressure applied. The baren evenly transfers the desired image onto paper.
