Ultra Black is a very dense black, water resistant ink that contains extra carbon and works on both porous and less porous papers, including metallics. It creates unique tones when thinned with water.
 
Dense black ink with a less water resistant formula than Ultra Black. Formulated to create beautiful tones in varying shades of gray with the addition of water.
 
Golden black is a dense black ink with golden powder suspension. The black outlines gold on rice paper; the effect is more subtle on other papers.
For best use, shake well and vigorously before pouring the ink out of the bottle. You should hear the mixing balls shaking inside of the bottle; these disperse the metallic pigment throughout the ink.
 
Traditional Chinese inks formulated as a dense black pigment that makes them suitable for all ink work, painting, drawing and calligraphy. They can withstand wet mounting techniques. Chinese ink produces slightly cooler tones than Japanese ink.
